Gustavo Vasquez (b.1992) is a multi-media artist residing in Sonoma County, California, his work ranges from photography, video, sound, writing, sculpture, ceramics. His first experience with photography spawned back in high school when he first stepped into a traditional wet darkroom and started to experiment with traditional 35mm camera systems and older style medium format and large format photography.
His interests vary from portraiture, travel and documentary photography; Gustavo combines these interests as a way to further examine culture and life in the world around him.
Gustavo is currently a program coordinator at Sonoma County Regional Parks, where he facilitates and leads programming in the Department of Community Engagement, as well as documenting the program YES Coast (Youth Exploring Sonoma County Coasts) through photography, video, and writing.
His previous experience includes being an Administrative Coordinator at the Office of the Provost at Sonoma State University, an AmeriCorps VISTA with Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County, a Community Service Advisor at Sonoma State University, the Managing Editor for the Sonoma State STAR, an instructor of leadership and community involvement for the College for Kids program at Diablo Valley College and an instructor aide for photography at Diablo Valley College.
